CONSTITUTION: The gear box(5) of a seat slide device for a vehicle is composed of both tracks; rails; a horizontal control motor; a screw shaft(53); a nut body; a synthetic resin body(51) formed with both cases having worm wheels installed at a worm gear shaft and the screw shaft and placed with a circular ring groove connecting the both cases by fitting rings(513) at front and rears sides of the both cases; and a metal bracket(54) mounted to cover the upper part and the front and rear parts of the body through the combination of two bolts(541) and fixed at the rail through the bolt combination. The synthetic resin body contains a worm gear shaft mounting hole(514) and a worm wheel mounting part(517). A shock relaxation space is formed at the front of the worm wheel mounting hole to prevent shock occurrence.
