PURPOSE: A rack-pinion steering gear is provided to prevent efficiency from being lowered due to friction by reducing the area of rack stroke minimally and reducing the deflection of straightness or circularity of a rack bar or a rack housing and to reduce the total weight of the rack bar. CONSTITUTION: The rack-pinion steering gear(100) comprises: a pinion(20) formed on a pinion shaft(25); a rack bar(130) provided with a rack(35) in gear with the pinion, inserted to a rack housing(70) slidably and composed of a rack gear unit(130a), a sliding unit(130b) and a link(130c) placed between the rack gear unit and the sliding unit; a primary tie rod(40a) and a secondary tie rod(40b) placed on right and left sides of the rack bar; a primary ball joint(50a) and a secondary ball joint(50b) connecting primary and secondary tie rods; and bellows(60a,60b) covering up the primary and secondary ball joints and fixed to the rack housing together with tie rods.
